Donna Stubbs: 5 Points Gallery Featured Artist – Third Friday Opening Reception

5 Points Gallery in downtown Durham introduces a new exhibit featuring the work of artist Donna Stubbs. Donna uses an archeological approach to painting, as she lovingly photographs her surroundings and unearths discarded items in thrift stores to create abstract mixed media works. Bright color combinations, images of the body, fabric, and vintage ephemera become unexpected partners that suggest an intriguing history as she intuitively combines collage, photography, and drawing. Join us for our Third Friday Opening Reception May 19, 6-9pm. Meet the artists and view the latest works by our nine Triangle-based artists in a range of mediums including painting, sculpture, fused glass, and mixed media. This exhibit runs May 18-June 10.
